Our Boston office is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to develop structural engineering designs for a wide range of building projects.  Our portfolio of completed projects includes building sector work in Higher Education, K-12 Schools, Public and Civic, Museums and Performing Arts, Residential, and Commercial and Mixed Use.

 

We are a team focused firm with opportunities for collaboration and mentorship. We encourage all of our engineering staff to become licensed engineers, supporting continuing education, professional society memberships, and experience with all aspects of project development from initial design to construction administration.

Team members perform the following types of tasks:

• Preliminary analysis of structural systems

• Detailed analytical modeling

• BIM modeling (REVIT)

• Coordination with architects

• Report writing

• Construction Administration including site visits, review of submittals, problem solving for unexpected conditions

 

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage projects

• Oversee and mentor junior engineering staff

• Review and validate work performed by engineers and drafters

• Perform internal peer reviews

• Lead communications as primary contact with architect clients

Qualifications:

• BS and MS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

• 8 to 10 years of structural engineering work experience

• PE license

• Strong knowledge of local building codes and national design standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE)

• Experience with steel, concrete, and timber design

• Experience with REVIT

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Highly motivated

• Field experience
